Position Overview
We are seeking a Scrum Master to support a large-scale federal modernization program. The Scrum Master will support one or more agile teams and will be responsible for facilitating agile ceremonies, enabling team execution, removing impediments, and promoting disciplined agile delivery practices across the program.

This role supports the U.S. Army’s Enterprise Business Systems – Convergence (EBS-C) program, a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation effort modernizing enterprise logistics and financial systems. The position will align to the Multi-Functional Capabilities Team (MFCT) Data Management Team, supporting enterprise data strategy, data governance, data migration, and data integration efforts across S/4HANA-enabled business processes.

This role requires a candidate who can operate effectively in a complex stakeholder environment, coordinate across functional and technical teams, and help ensure delivery alignment with program objectives, milestones, and governance requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong facilitation skills, experience supporting federal clients, and the ability to coach teams in agile principles while operating within a structured program environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Serve as Scrum Master for one or more agile delivery teams supporting program execution.
• Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other agile team ceremonies.
• Guide teams in the application of Scrum and agile best practices to support consistent, effective delivery.
• Identify, track, and help resolve team impediments and blockers in coordination with leadership and stakeholders.
• Partner with Product Owners, functional leads, and technical leads to support backlog readiness and sprint execution.
• Promote team accountability for commitments, delivery objectives, and continuous improvement actions.
• Support dependency management and coordination across teams, external stakeholders, and program workstreams.
• Track and report agile delivery metrics, sprint progress, risks, issues, and other status indicators.
• Ensure agile tools and artifacts are maintained in accordance with program standards and reporting requirements.
• Use Azure DevOps (ADO) to manage team backlogs, sprint boards, work items, dependencies, and reporting.
• Support release planning, integrated planning activities, and alignment with broader program governance.
• Coach team members and stakeholders on agile roles, responsibilities, and delivery expectations.
• Contribute to agile process standardization and delivery maturity across the broader program.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Management, Engineering, or related discipline; additional relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree where appropriate.
• at least 4 years of total experience, at least 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master supporting agile teams.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating agile ceremonies and supporting iterative delivery in a structured environment.
• Experience tracking and managing risks, issues, dependencies, and impediments across stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management, sprint planning, work item tracking, dashboards, and reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with client leadership, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a client-facing environment.

Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or comparable agile certification.
• Experience supporting federal government programs or contracts.
• Familiarity with PMO-driven delivery environments, program governance, and executive reporting.
• Experience supporting ERP, enterprise transformation, or other large-scale system implementation efforts.
• Army domain experience and/or SAP program experience is a plus.
• Experience working in hybrid agile environments that must align with contractual, compliance, or documentation requirements.
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one, if required.

Duties Performed
• Facilitate and coordinate agile team activities in support of sprint and release objectives.
• Maintain visibility into team progress and escalate delivery concerns as needed.
• Coordinate with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure work is well-defined and actionable.
• Support preparation of status updates, metrics, and reporting artifacts for leadership review.
• Help maintain alignment between team-level execution and broader program schedules and priorities.
• Promote effective collaboration across government, contractor, and implementation stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate work item hygiene and sprint traceability in ADO.
