Mobile Application Developer

We are seeking a Mobile App Developer to design, develop, and support geospatial applications across mobile and desktop platforms. This role focuses on building Android and iOS applications using modern frameworks, integrating GIS technologies, and supporting full software development lifecycle activities within a collaborative team environment.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with GIS systems, mobile application development using React, and cross-platform tools such as Electron, along with the ability to work closely with stakeholders to deliver mission-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms using React and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Build and maintain desktop applications using the Electron framework for Windows and Linux environments
• Develop and integrate solutions leveraging Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) technologies and services
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define concepts of operation, and design user interfaces and user experiences
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, execution, and iterative releases
• Track development activities and progress using Jira
• Manage and maintain source code repositories using GitHub and GitLab
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure application quality and reliability
• Provide technical support and training to end users and customers
• Support ongoing technical operations and system enhancements
• Stay current with emerging technologies and apply best practices to development efforts
• Work closely with small, cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions

Qualifications

• Experience with GIS applications and geospatial technologies preferred
• Experience developing mobile applications for Android and iOS using React, Node.js, and JavaScript
• Experience using development tools such as Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, and Xcode
• Experience developing cross-platform desktop applications using Electron
• Experience working in Agile software development environments
• Experience managing source code with GitHub or GitLab
• Experience using Jira for sprint tracking and project management
• Experience developing and executing software test plans
• Experience supporting end users and providing technical training
• Strong background in software engineering and development
• Experience supporting technical operations in production environments
