Title: Systems Engineer ~ DevOps System Automation

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Clearance: TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph

Job Details:

• Work independently to analyze user requirements, CONOPS, and system architectures to develop system requirements and solutions
• Lead system design, development, and engineering activities, including feasibility studies and analysis of alternatives
• Provide technical leadership across system integration, architecture, and implementation efforts
• Design and implement scalable hybrid/multi-cloud architectures across Azure, AWS, and GCP
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI) and manage containerized platforms (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm)
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Configuration as Code (Ansible) to automate deployments and operations
• Develop scripts (Bash, PowerShell, Python) and implement secrets management solutions
• Support distributed systems, including stateful services, system integration, and global load balancing
• Incorporate Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles and ensure secure, resilient system design
• Develop architecture documentation, diagrams, SOPs, and security documentation
• Guide system implementation planning, testing, and lifecycle optimization, including trade studies
• Ensure technical integrity of deliverables and resolve complex system issues
• Communicate with government stakeholders and deliver executive-level briefings
• Lead design efforts, mentor junior staff, and support high-risk or complex programs

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in a technical discipline; an additional 4 years of may be substituted in lieu of a degree
• Minimum eight (8) years of directly related experience
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Proficiency with Terraform (IaC), Ansible (CaC), and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
• Experience with distributed systems, automation, and secure architecture (including ZTA and secrets management)
• Strong background in system integration, architecture design, and technical documentation
• Must possess current DoD 8570 IAT II and Microsoft Certified Professional (or equivalent) certification
• Experience working in a DoD or IC environment desired
• Current active TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
