Duties
DUTY 1: Serves as the senior subject matter expert on current and future Military Information Support Operations capabilities and planning.
DUTY 2: Serves as the architect and developer of MISO planning efforts. Actively participates in planning to integrate and improve organization direction and focus of MISO capabilities using planning tools and techniques.
DUTY 3: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
DUTY 4: Establishes and maintains a current series of liaison contacts within the DoD, Sister Services and national-level agencies as a recognized authority in MISO, within the field of information operations and information warfare.
DUTY 5: Prepares and delivers oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, consultations and strategysessions with other staff functions and activities to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, conveyinformation relative to proposed changes and advocate for requirements in assigned program(s).

This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of the full range of information warfare (IW), information operations (IO), intelligence research, collection methods, techniques, and practices to use multi-source information systems to capture data in order to make recommendations in developing threat assessments, recommendations and courses of actions (COAs). Knowledge of advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detail analyses of complex information/situations attained from multiple sources, to include database manipulation. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:Comprehensive knowledge of Military Information Support Operations (MISO) sufficient to plan, organize, and synchronize MISO with deliberate and crisis action planning. Knowledge and familiarization with Military Deception (MILDEC) information operations (IO), information warfare (IW), electromagnetic warfare (EW), cyberspace operations (CO), public affairs (PA) and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Joint and Service doctrine sufficient to support Air Forces Cyber missions. Knowledge of joint military cyber operations. Ability to advise on and formulate Air Force MISO policy sufficient to support Joint wartime, crisis and peacetime Information Warfare planning. Ability to maintain control of classified material, quickly assimilate disparage date, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments. Knowledge of and skill in analytical and evaluative methods and techniques, as well as measurement of data to plan, schedule, and conduct projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of program operations to include adapting or developing new or modified methods. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with other Directorates, Component Commands, other Combatant Commands, the Joint Staff, National Security Agency and other Services, peers and management to advocate plans and programs related to accomplishment of the IW NAFs mission. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
