This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of ground-based collection systems operations and maintenance to include nuclear detection technologies, cryogenic principles, gas separations and isolation, particulate debris collection and analysis, and their unique operating environments. Knowledge of computer operating programs and interpret their applications to systems control structure and to collection systems configuration, operation, and maintenance. Knowledge of long-haul communications systems, their failure identification, tracking, and repair. Ability to comprehend analytical models and make recommendations and the ability to apply extensive knowledge of equipment and logistics infrastructure characteristics, properties, and capabilities in order to extrapolate potential applications of technical approaches and recommendations as countermeasures to emerging threats. Substantial knowledge of maintenance management principles in order to plan and execute sustainment of existing and evolving systems. Ability to organize, and interpret information in a clear concise manner, the ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and accurate fashion, and the ability to analyze conflicting information from multiple sources. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:Knowledge of logistics management, as well as maintenance processes, concepts, theories, practices, and policies in order to ensure support issues are properly considered during the development of materials collection systems maintenance support concepts. Extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of ground-based collection systems operations and maintenance to include underlying sophisticated nuclear detection technologies, cryogenic principles, gas separations and isolation, particulate debris collection and analysis, and their unique operating environments. Knowledge of computer operating programs and the ability to interpret their applications to systems control structure and collection systems configuration, operation, and maintenance. Knowledge of long-haul communications systems, their failure identification, tracking, and repair. Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing, to provide briefings, reports, technical advice and recommendations to others; as well as establish effective working relationships. - Perform technical duties and oversight of the Center's, Detachments', Operating Locations', and Equipment Locations' maintenance management programs to identify and resolve maintenance and management problems.
- Assure integrity of state-of-health and in-situ analysis data received from field locations. Develop data management programs, tailors output to provide effective maintenance and operational feedback.
- Track effectiveness of deployed systems. Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to efficiency.
- Represent the flight, squadron, center, and, in some circumstances, the US Government during requirements development, program reviews, evaluations, meetings, and technical discussions associated with logistics support requirements for developing, testing, and deploying systems to meet operational and logistics constraints.

- Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. - Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
- KEY: The duty of this position meets all requirements as a category 4 designation and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function effectively.
