The Opportunity:
The CACI Automated Remediation and Asset Discovery (ARAD) team is seeking an experienced and skilled Remediation Management Specialist to implement and maintain a robust patch management procedure for the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise systems administration, team leadership, and extensive experience with enterprise operating systems and Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) patch management tools (e.g., WSUS, MECM, Tanium, etc) as well as experience working with government IT security requirements.
The preferred work location for this role is 2-3 days onsite in Chantilly, VA with remaining days remote.

Responsibilities:
- Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower-level technical team members; responsible for providing guidance and training to other employees within technical discipline
- Influences others regarding policies, practices, and procedures
- Manage large projects with minimal oversight that require critical thinking and complex analysis
- Typically has responsibility for communicating with other personnel across the program
- Perform patch deployment and targeted remediation actions using tools such as MECM, Tanium, Intune, or similar platforms across enterprise systems in a large-scale DoD environment under guidance from senior remediation personnel.
- Troubleshoot and resolve failed or incomplete remediation efforts, including systems that do not respond to standard patching processes.
- Perform remediation of vulnerabilities identified through ACAS, Tenable, or similar tools, ensuring compliance with CAT I / II / III timelines.
- Validate remediation success by reviewing scan results, compliance data, and endpoint status, and re-engage remediation as needed.
- Support testing of patches and remediation actions in controlled environments prior to production deployment.
- Execute patch deployments in accordance with approved schedules and maintenance windows, minimizing operational impact.
- Submit and support change requests (standard and emergency) in alignment with CAB processes.
- Document remediation actions taken and contribute to SOP updates and process improvements.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance
- 12+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor's Degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience).
- Experience in enterprise systems administration and patch management.
- Experience working with IT teams in a professional environment.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise operating systems and COTS patch management tools (e.g., WSUS, MCM, Tanium, etc).
- Familiarity with federal government IT security requirements (e.g., FISMA, NIST guidelines).
- Experience working with large-scale, complex IT environments.
- Knowledge of automation tools for patch management.
- Familiarity with change management processes in enterprise environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Desired:
- Experience with ServiceNow
- RHCA, TCO, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Configuration Manager and Intune Administrator Expert certification.
- Experience working with federal government agencies
- Knowledge of additional automation tools for patch management.
- Experience in integrating enterprise operating systems and COTS patch management tools (e.g., WSUS, MECM, Tanium, etc). and other technologies such as Azure AD and Intune for comprehensive endpoint management.
