LDRM is searching for a Human Resources Specialist for the National Visa Center (NVC) in Portsmouth, NH. This position is customer service-focused within a union environment. Your Minimum Qualifications to be a Human Resources Specialist:
You must successfully complete a credit and criminal background check and be able to obtain a Secret-level federal security clearance. You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered for the SECRET federal security clearance.

While performing the duties of this job, you may occasionally be required to stand; walk; sit; lift up to 20 lbs.; bend; reach; carry; stoop; kneel; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; speak; or hear. Specific vision abilities may be required to perform the job which may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, or the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Mainly office but may also include all other work environments as required.

Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Provide Human Resources guidance and support to supervisors as well as managers supporting a government customer.
- Ensure onboarding process is complete for new hires and in compliance with company guidelines.
- Submit and review Personnel Action Notices. Coordinate with the HR Manager, Payroll, and Operations Manager where needed to ensure that pay and status changes are conducted in a timely manner.
- Maintain company policies, adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations while meeting contractual requirements and obligations.
- Respond to employee and customer questions and concerns regarding the understanding and application of DTSV as part of LDRM (a Joint Venture between two separate companies).
- Respond to employee questions and concerns regarding the understanding and application of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
- Prepare termination documents in support of involuntary terminations; gather and prepare all documentation required.
- Manage the leave process and ensure proper coordination/communication on any FMLA and Leave of Absence (LOA) requests. Work with employees to answer any questions they may have regarding their leave requests and necessary documentation.
- Make recommendations/determinations on ADA requests in conjunction with HR Operations and Operations Management.
- Provide current and prospective employees with information about company policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
- Conduct exit interviews with departing employees and ensure proper exit information (e.g., pay, benefits, and security clearance) is provided. Develop mitigation strategies to reduce turnover.
- Assist HR Manager on any projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Your Minimum Qualifications to be a Human Resources Specialist:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or other related discipline
- 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment national, regional, and local background investigation, which includes criminal and credit checks.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain SECRET-level government clearance
- Experience using Paylocity.
- Knowledge of EEO, ADA and OFCCP requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and team-based project experience
- Decisive ability to shift priorities and function effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of the recruiting aspects involved in a government contracting environment as well as labor relations with unions and their members.
- Strong work ethic is a must.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision is essential.
- Government contracting experience is a plus.
