Kentro is seeking a highly skilled Senior SharePoint Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise SharePoint solutions that support collaboration, document management, and business process automation within a Zero Trust security framework. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server, modern development frameworks, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions aligned with Zero Trust principles such as least privilege access, continuous verification, and data protection.

This role will work closely with stakeholders, system administrators, and development teams to enhance and optimize SharePoint environments, ensuring secure integration with enterprise systems through identity-driven access controls, conditional access policies, and compliance with Zero Trust architecture standards.

Location: Tampa, Florida

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom SharePoint solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Platform, and modern web technologies.
  • Build and customize SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and forms.
  • Develop custom web parts, extensions, and applications using SPFx, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Implement automation and workflow solutions using Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services and external systems using REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, and other integration tools.
  • Lead SharePoint architecture decisions and ensure solutions follow best practices for security, governance, and scalability to include Zero Trust principles.
  • Design and implement Zero Trust-aligned security controls within SharePoint and Microsoft 365 environments, including Conditional Access, data protection, and access governance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint performance and functionality issues.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers and administrators.
  • Maintain documentation for SharePoint architecture, development standards, and deployed solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security and data governance policies.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • CompTIA Sec+ (or equivalent)
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience developing and administering SharePoint solutions


Technical Skills:
  • SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server
  • SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
  • JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
  • React or similar modern frameworks
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, Microsoft Graph API, and SharePoint APIs
  • Experience with SharePoint migrations, upgrades, and modernization
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint security, permissions, governance, and
  • Zero Trust security principles (least privilege access, identity-based access, and continuous verification)
  • Experience integrating SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services (Teams, OneDrive, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with implementing Zero Trust architectures within Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environments, including Conditional Access and data protection controls
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Azure services and cloud-based integrations
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and source control (Git, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience with SharePoint site architecture, intranet design, and user adoption strategies
  • Microsoft certifications such as: Azure, Security, or M365 related
  • Experience supporting federal or government environments including compliance with Zero Trust and federal security frameworks
