Job Description
Strategic Analysis, Inc (SA) is seeking a versatile, skilled Junior Action Officer to support the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) activities. DARPA requires a Junior Action Officer for the Adaptive Capabilities Office (ACO), to play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of activities.
The Junior Action Officer will be responsible for collaboration with cross-functional teams to support the development and implementation of cutting-edge initiatives to advance the mission of DARPA ACO. The Action Officer will work closely with government and contractor staff to ensure comprehensive and seamless technical and administrative support to ACO leadership.
A successful Action Officer candidate will:
-Work with stakeholders across DARPA, DoD, and military, preparing a variety of comprehensive status reports, management summaries, and briefing papers which identify problems, assess the overall condition of work completed or in progress and outlines issues, solutions and recommendations.
- Create briefings, agendas and other program documentation.
-Organize read-ahead materials/packages for the Office Leadership.
-Assist in calendar review, resolve conflicting priorities and requirements and preparing agenda for the week and month ahead;
-Organize and facilitate communications within DARPA and with external organizations on a wide array of subjects including internal and external tasks, program reviews, meetings, congressional events, invitations, speaking events, and resources; and,
-Provide business and other general administrative and professional office support, as required.
-Problem solve with leadership daily, find solutions and complete actions in a timely manner.
Qualification Requirements:
-Education: Bachelor Degree
-Clearance: DoD Secret clearance required at minimum with ability to obtain TS/SCI. TS/SCI Preferred.
-Experience: 3-5 years of experience working in logistics, program management, and/or providing administrative support.
-Experience working in the military, federal government or experience as a staffer.
Desired skills
- Ability to work closely with colleagues to manage invitations and higher-level engagements for agency leadership, ensuring they have received the necessary materials to prepare for all upcoming engagements.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels of DoD, military and industry
- Proficient in MS Office Suite to include PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Attention to detail.
