Job Summary:
The Watch Operator monitors and supports ongoing mission operations within a 24/7 operational environment, ensuring continuous situational awareness and effective execution of mission objectives. This role requires maintaining and enhancing space domain awareness through the continuous monitoring and analysis of operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and emerging mission impacts.
In this position, the Watch Operator provides integrated operational assessments and delivers timely briefings to government leadership to support informed decision-making. The role also requires close coordination with internal teams and external partners to ensure unity of effort and effective communication during mission execution.
The Watch Operator is responsible for developing and disseminating operational reports, updates, and mission communications while maintaining proficiency in advanced mission systems and analytical tools. Additionally, the position involves identifying operational challenges, recommending innovative solutions to improve processes and mission effectiveness, and supporting the refinement of operational procedures while contributing to the development of future mission capabilities.

Additionally, the position involves identifying operational challenges, recommending innovative solutions to improve processes and mission effectiveness, and supporting the refinement of operational procedures while contributing to the development of future mission capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a crew member supporting 24/7 operations, currently structured in 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights). Crew schedules may be adjusted in coordination with team leads and program management to balance mission requirement and individual preferences
- Draft and disseminate Situation Reports (SITREPs) that provide a concise and accurate summary of current operations, mission progress, and significant events to internal/external stakeholders
- Continuously track mission activities and operational developments using advanced monitoring tools. Summarize and relay updates to government customers in real-time, ensuring that decision makers have access to the most relevant and accurate information to guide mission-critical decisions
- Actively participate in daily operations stand-up meetings to provide updates on ongoing activities, highlight key operational priorities, and address any challenges or risks impacting mission success
- Provide detailed inputs for monthly in-progress reviews (IPRs), summarizing operational
- achievements, challenges, and areas requiring attention
- Provide support to internal/external exercises and rehearsal of concepts drills
- Support onboarding of new and enhanced tools
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 2 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in intelligence analysis, security operations, or a related discipline
- Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly Clearance Required
- Minimum Skills Required:
- At lead one year of demonstarted experience in preparing and disseminating SITREP products
- At least one year of proven experience delivering dairy stand-upo operational breifing to senior stakehokldres and mission partners.
- Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs. MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
- Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data visualization and intelligence software applications.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity threats and counterintelligence principles.
- Foreign language proficiency relevant to operational areas of interest.
- Position requires 24/7 operations support, 12 hour roating shifts.
- Ability to work in secure environments with restricted access to sensitive information.
