Position Title: Software Developer (SharePoint Focus)

Waypoint's client is seeking a Software Developer to support application development and sustainment efforts in a mission-focused environment. This role emphasizes strong SharePoint expertise combined with modern web development and database management capabilities.

The selected candidate will support development, enhancement, and maintenance of both legacy and modern applications, ensuring functionality, usability, and compliance with security requirements. This role requires hands-on experience across the full stack, including front-end technologies, backend systems, and data management.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain full-stack applications supporting mission requirements.
• Design, configure, and manage SharePoint environments, including site creation, permissions management, workflows, and data entry forms.
• Develop front-end interfaces using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Utilize modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Backbone to build dynamic web applications.
• Design, develop, and manage relational databases, including schema creation and administration.
• Work with MySQL or other relational databases to support application functionality and data storage.
• Troubleshoot and remediate functional defects within legacy systems.
• Utilize Git for version control and code management.
• Track and manage development tasks using JIRA and maintain documentation in Confluence.
• Support application testing, including system and integration testing.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, user guides, and online help content.
• Ensure applications align with security requirements and best practices.

Required:

• Active TS/SCI CI Poly.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field
• DoD approved DoDD 8570 baseline certification such as Security+ CE.
• Strong experience with SharePoint, including permissions, site creation, workflows, and form development.
• Extensive experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Backbone, or similar.
• Experience with database design, development, and administration.
• Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining legacy systems.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Experience using JIRA and Confluence.
