Technical Expert (SBIRS Enterprise)

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Expert to support the Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) Enterprise across systems engineering, integration, and sustainment activities. This role will provide end-to-end engineering expertise spanning space, ground, and user segments, ensuring mission performance, system interoperability, and readiness in support of U.S. Space Force missile warning operations.

• Provide systems engineering support across SBIRS satellites, C2, relay, and ground systems
• Support integration, testing, and operational acceptance of system upgrades
• Conduct system analyses, risk assessments, and engineering trade studies
• Develop and maintain requirements, ICDs, and engineering documentation
• Coordinate with USSF units and stakeholders to ensure interoperability
• Apply MBSE/digital engineering and support agile development efforts
• Contribute to modernization and next-gen OPIR capability planning

Required Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s in Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 6+ years supporting SBIRS or similar space/ground systems
• 3+ years systems engineering experience in DoD/USSF programs
• Experience with testing, operational acceptance, and technical documentation
• Strong knowledge of DoD/USSF acquisition and sustainment

• Master’s degree or INCOSE/DAWIA certification
• Experience with SBIRS operations or program offices
• MBSE/digital engineering experience
• Familiarity with OPIR, DSP, or missile warning systems
