The Opportunity:

As a CACI-Mission & Engineering Services (M&ES) Sensitive Activities (SA) Space Planner , you will facilitate and coordinate all aspects of operational level planning, synchronization, and integration for U.S. Space Forces as it relates to US Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM). You will develop and maintain an outreach strategy to ensure operational capabilities are properly nested within other USSOUTHCOM component's planning efforts and integrate space capabilities into USSOUTHCOM's Sensitive Activity Portfolio.

Responsibilities:

The SA Space Planner will support and coordinate within the Joint Space Enterprise, functional and service component operations centers, national government agencies, mission partners, and additional world-wide data sources, and collaborate within the space domain. The SA Space Planner may maintain a Community of Interest (COI) with all Department of War (DoW) entities within the USSOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) focused on space capabilities and their support to the Joint fight, ensuring continuity of space effects and capabilities support. The SA Space Planner will proactively seek out, identify, plan for, propose, and integrate operational capabilities in support of USSOUTHCOM Operational Area of Interest (OAIs). Additionally, the SA Space Planner will communicate with senior stakeholders - and may produce - clear technical space related briefings,

memorandums, and plans.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Current Top Secret/Specialized Compartmented Information Security Clearance, willing to submit to a CI Poly.
  • More than seven years of specialized experience in military or IC compartmented activities (IJSTO, SAP, ACCM, etc.).
  • Must have the ability to conduct short-term travel to both CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • Effective written and oral communication.
  • Be able to provide feedback to the Sensitive Activities Division on space related requirements/equities for USSOUTHCOM.
  • Possess a bachelor's degree and seven years of experience or ten years of relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with DoD JP 3-14 Joint Space Operations, Space Capstone Publication (SCP) and operational level Space Doctrine Publications (SDPs).
  • Experience integrating space and ground segment capabilities into joint force decision making processes.
  • Experience integrating space capabilities and equities into the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), including mission analysis, COA decision and CONOP approval briefings, D3A execution matrices, CONOP documents, execution orders (EXORDs) and FRAGOs.
  • Completed intermediate level Space Education and Instruction to include but not limited to NSSI's Space 100, Space 200 and Joint Space Planners Course, or service level equivalent.


Desired:
  • More than five years of experience with SOF, SMU, and Special or Technical Units of Federal, State, or Local Law Enforcement.
  • NSSI's Space 300
  • Working knowledge of ACW and C5ISR and/or other emerging weapons or threats.
  • Masters Degree in technically relevant field.
  • Practical understanding of Microsoft SharePoint, Google Earth spatial analysis software, and web-based intelligence tools and databases available through SIPR and JWICS.
  • Must be able to work independently with some government oversight and function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment.
