Background Information:

This position will be responsible for providing Logistics and Systems Sustainment Engineering technical support services for the NAVAIR PMA205 Live Training Environment (LTE). The position reports directly to the PMA205 LTE APML and TCTS II Facilities/Site Activation Lead for technical direction, tasking, guidance, and execution of duties.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • TCTS II Fielding & LTE Integration: Lead the technical execution of fielding TCTS II hardware to Navy and Marine Corps Tactical Training Ranges (TTRs), to include integration within the Live Training Environment (LTE) System of Systems (SoS). Support the PMA-205 Site Activation Lead with technical planning, range coordination, and technical submissions for various technical site installation approval process.
  • System of Systems (SoS) Sustainment: Develop the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) framework for the sustainment of the LTE SoS. This involves managing the transition as ranges move from TCTS I to TCTS II operations and all of the programs under the Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) Program.
  • Fleet Support/In-Service Sustainment Engineering: Serve as the primary PMA-205 technical sustainment authority and point of contact for TTR personnel, to include engaging the relevant stakeholders(s) to address maintenance support requests, documentation discrepancy reports, supportability upgrade recommendations.
  • Contract Technical SME: Serve as the primary Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all PMA-205 contracts teams as required regarding TCTS II fielding, sustainment and integration within the LTE. Generate/review relevant Procurement Initiation Documents (PIDs) and associated technical documentation, including Statements of Work (SOW) and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), specifically for fielding and sustainment of TCTS II within the LTE.

Required Education, Experience, Skills, & Certifications/Licenses:
  • MS Degree in an engineering discipline from a school of engineering accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or a related discipline such as physics, mathematics or computer science from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience performing the stated or similar function.
  • In lieu of a MS Degree, a BS Degree and a total of 14 years' experience in performing the stated functions.
  • A minimum of 4 years of work experience associated with engineering functions as related to development, test, or evaluation of instrumentation systems. Possess an academic and work experience background in such areas as preparation of technical and operational test plans, execution of sophisticated tests, certification of systems, logistic support planning, technical data review, and analytical interpretation of test results. Knowledge of computer systems, software, networks, interfacing.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and successfully pass drug screenings

Clearance Requirements:
  • Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
  • Employment and start date is contingent upon the candidate receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearance

Work Conditions:
  • Most work performed in enclosed buildings at a desk or in data processing environments. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching. Special vision abilities to perform this job are close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus. Some travel and/or overtime may be required.
