Job Description:
We are seeking a Level 3 System Administrator to provide expert support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems. The ideal candidate will manage IT system infrastructure, monitor performance, resolve complex issues, and provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and related systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the implementation, operation, and troubleshooting of IT systems.
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
Manage day-to-day IT system configuration and operations.
Assist users in accessing and using IT systems effectively.
Monitor and resolve problems across servers, networks, storage, and mobile devices.
Escalate and communicate status updates to management and internal customers.
Optimize system operations, resource utilization, and perform capacity analysis.
Provide detailed analysis and feedback for escalated tickets.
Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, including software installation, integrity maintenance, and network configuration.
Implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Support system and mission architecture design, including associated hardware.
Understand system administration interdependencies within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Analyze and resolve complex issues related to server hardware, applications, and software integration.
Qualifications:
Experience: 10 years as a System Administrator in programs of similar scope and complexity.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university OR 5 additional years of SA experience in lieu of a degree.
In-depth experience troubleshooting IT systems, server hardware, software, and network integration.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal customers and agency management.
TS/SCI clearance is required.
Skills & Competencies:
Advanced knowledge of UNIX and Windows operating systems.
Expertise in IT infrastructure management, network configuration, and system optimization.
Ability to handle complex, high-stakes IT issues in a secure environment.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills.
Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments preferred.
