Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking skilled Network Administrators to join our growing team. We have multiple openings and welcome applicants across all experience levels.

Our ideal candidates are cleared professionals with proven, hands-on experience operating in tactical environments and collaborating effectively across organizations and agencies. All positions require a minimum of an active SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with polygraph.

Senior-level candidates are strongly encouraged to apply and should ideally already possess a TS/SCI clearance.

Salary Information

Compensation for this position varies by level and is determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, certification levels, security clearance status, and alignment with mission requirements.

Approximate salary ranges by level include:

• Level Two: $76,248 - $108,926
• Level Three: $94,352 - $134,789
• Level Four: $114,801 - $164,002

Essential Job Responsibilities

As a Network Administrator, you will design, define, and support complex system and network architectures for new and existing environments. You will determine system specifications, manage hardware/software compatibility, maintain system security, and ensure integration of subsystems into a cohesive, reliable solution. Additional responsibilities include identifying and resolving system deficiencies, recommending corrective actions, supporting network operations in tactical environments, and providing technical expertise across hardware, software, and secure networking technologies.

  • Design and define architecture for complex computer and network systems.
  • Determine system specifications, input/output processes, and operational requirements.
  • Ensure hardware/software compatibility and maintain system security controls.
  • Coordinate subsystem design and support integration into the total system architecture.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve system and program support deficiencies.
  • Develop and recommend corrective actions to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Provide network administration support including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain expertise in routers, switches, firewalls, gateways, and related network technologies.
  • Support WAN and LAN environments to ensure secure, stable, and efficient operations.
  • Provide technical guidance to database administrators, software developers, or other team members as needed.
  • Collaborate across agencies and mission partners to ensure interoperable and mission-aligned solutions.
  • Support all operations in accordance with DoD, IC, and federal cybersecurity and clearance requirements.


Minimum Qualifications

Level Two - 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.

Level Three - 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

Level Four - 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

  • Hands-on experience administering systems or networks in tactical or operational military environments.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex systems, network architectures, and security controls.
  • Strong understanding of system compatibility requirements, integration processes, and security maintenance.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving system and network performance issues.
  • Knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, gateways, LAN/WAN technologies, and system administration tools.
  • Familiarity with DoD, Intelligence Community, or federal government technical standards
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple agencies and mission stakeholders.
  • CompTIA Network+ (advanced certifications such as CASP+, CySA desired).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical details clearly.
  • Clearance: Minimum SECRET clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI w/poly


Physical Requirements

  • May require working in an office, industrial, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
