Duties

  • Coordinate with USSOUTHCOM partners to develop and refine resource requirements to achieve CD/CTOC command objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD directives for CD/CTOC operations, metrics, assessments, and reporting.
  • Provide oversight and support to all ongoing CD/CTOC operational programs, including Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and the Linguist Support Program.
  • Prepare summaries and information papers, assists with budget control, and manages administrative and property functions.
  • Assist in developing, defining, and evaluating CD/CTOC system requirements, prioritizing based on operational need.

  • This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest. This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter.
  • This position requires DoD Financial Management Level 1 Certification IAW Public Law 112-81. Failure to obtain certification in the required time may result in adverse action.
  • DoD Contract Officer Representative Training (COR) is required.
  • Must deploy to the USSOUTHCOM AOR in under 24 hours by ground or air as directed by the Commander. This supports responses to terrorism, natural disasters, homeland defense, civil support contingencies, and war.
  • Infrequent international travel required, occasionally to an austere environment where the incumbent will be expected to function in adverse climatic conditions.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport.
  • Participation in the Department of Defense (DoD)/Department of the Army (DA) Immunization program to include live vaccinations as required by DoD/DA policy.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes experience coordinating with military, interagency, and international partners to develop and manage operational resource requirements for Counter Drug/Counter Transnational Organized Crime (CD/CTOC) missions. This experience must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of planning, preparing, and executing operational programs; ensuring compliance with DoD directives; conducting program analysis and managing budgets; and liaising with U.S. and partner nation law enforcement agencies to achieve strategic objectives.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
