You may qualify at the NH 3 , if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-2/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
In addition to meeting qualifications, your application package must reflect the applicable experience to meet the Individual Occupational Requirements for the 2210, series as listed below:
Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate
For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled.

Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment. This position includes information assurance (IA) work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DoD 8570-01.M, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment to these duties. A waiver of this six-month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.0l-M, C3.2.4.2 or C3.2.4.3. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position.
This is a cybersecurity position. The employee must attain and maintain the appropriate DoD approved cybersecurity baseline Certificate(s) applicable for cybersecurity functions required for the DoD position held, within six months of filling the position, IAW DoD 8570.01-M.

As a IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) at the NH-2210-3 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Participates in Operations Planning Teams (OPTs) to identify/address cyberspace operations requirements/actions in support of global deployment and distribution missions.
- Supports USTRANSCOM Joint Planning Teams (JPTs) and participates in the Joint Planning Process to develop USTRANSCOM's plans supporting other Combatant Commands (CCMD).
- Provides analysis of operations and exercises sponsored by USTRANSCOM, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS), DoD Combatant Commanders, Services and Agencies, other US Government agencies, and allied and international organizations as appropriate.
- Provides coordination and technical support for Operational and Fragmentary Orders (OPORDs and FRAGOs) for DCO, OCO and DODIN Ops taskings from DoD, Joint Staff, and Combatant Command (CCMD) HQs.

- Makes recommendations for revising established strategies and plans as necessary to account for the changing nature of cyber threats and vulnerabilities to operations.
- Analyzes conflicting or incomplete information to provide senior leader level recommendations
