The Undersea Portfolio within the Naval Systems and Sustainment (NSS) Sub-Strategic Business Unit is seeking a Program Manager to lead the MK58 Compact Rapid Attack Weapon (CRAW) Very Lightweight Torpedo (VLT) program. This position will report directly to the Undersea Director. The Program Manager will lead a staff of multi-functional leads across multiple locations as well as interface directly with our Navy Customer both in Newport and DC to ensure contract objectives and deliverables are met. This position requires a high level of leadership and management to achieve technical, cost and schedule requirements necessary to meet the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP), while also meeting the expectations and contractual requirements of the contract with the US Navy.

Will You Will Do:
  • Manage the daily execution of the program ensuring program objectives and deliverables are met per the terms of the OTA contract.
  • Accountability for profit and loss, AOP and financial metrics for the program
  • Execution of a comprehensive strategy to grow and expand the CRAW program. Communicate strategy and vision to gain buy-in from senior leaders across the business; secure resources to execute the strategy; and continually assess/evolve the strategy to meet changing business and environmental demands.
  • Work closely with the Undersea Director and other members of the Undersea team on long-range financial planning, and organizational development.
  • Interface directly with the customer and acquisition team to collaborate on the direction/ expansion of the program
  • Display strong communication, influence management, and presentation skills, and comfortably interact with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Attract, retain, supervise, and develop talent


What You Will Learn:

  • SBU & SSBU organizational structure, responsibilities amongst the programs and the functional areas, and deliverables


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years' experience
  • Prior experience leading profit and loss related activities of DoD contracts as a program manager
  • Prior experience managing, tracking, and/or reporting metrics through EAC review and customer Program Management Reviews
  • Prior experience leading cross-functional teams to include, but not limited to, any combination of the following: Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain, Contracts, Finance, and/or administrative functions
  • Prior Experience engaging and reporting on key program information (ex: metrics, schedules etc.)
  • Program Management Level 3 Certified or ability to achieve certification within 1 year


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Proven success creating and maintaining strong executive level relationships with suppliers, customers, government representatives, primes and internal peers
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to facilitate teamwork across functions
  • Experience managing development programs transitioning from development to LRIP or production
  • Experience leveraging strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills to drive execution, coordination, and growth strategies
  • Prior Experience leading proposal activity
  • Knowledge of US Navy missions
  • Submarine/Naval technical background/knowledge

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
