Day-To-Day:
A client of Insight Global is looking for a NOC Technician to sit fully onsite at Scott Air Force base. They will be responsible for maintaining a robust IP voice and video communications infrastructure by managing, configuring, and troubleshooting all aspects of voice, video, and data networks. Responsibilities include system maintenance, capacity planning, and implementing configuration changes with thorough documentation. The technician configures Cisco and Juniper routing and switching devices, supports distributed firewall infrastructure, and contributes to technical policy development. Expertise in SIP signaling, WAN principles, and call-flow analysis is essential for resolving complex issues, including remote site registration and media problems. The role also requires configuring route plans, device profiles, and call routing rules, validating change requests, and performing fault analysis across both telephony and network systems.
Must Haves:
Active TSSCI
Security+ or equivalent
3 years of experience in networking
Experience working within layers of the OSI model
Experience working with telephony including Cisco Call Manager or Avaya
Experience managing, configuring, and troubleshooting all aspects of voice, video, data, and network
Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
Compensation: 25hr - 28hr
