Sr Advanced Systems Engineer

Canonsburg, PA

Pay Estimated: $68.83-$85.50/Hour

Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

• Perform requirements analysis, definition, decomposition, and management across system, subsystem, and component levels
• Conduct functional analysis, performance analysis, and system architecture development
• Develop and maintain requirements flow-down and traceability
• Support system architecture, integration, and verification planning
• Drive system-level requirements into detailed design and test activities
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams across hardware, software, and integration disciplines
• Apply systems engineering principles, strategies, and performance measures to program execution
• Develop and present technical strategies, plans, and program status to internal stakeholders and external customers
• Support system troubleshooting, failure investigations, and corrective actions
• Contribute to the technical design, development, and production success of undersea defense systems

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field
• Active or obtainable DoD Secret clearance preferred
• 8+ years of relevant systems engineering experience
• Systems Engineering lifecycle experience
• System Architecture & Integration
• Requirements Flow-down and Traceability
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• SysML / UML tools (MagicDraw preferred)
• Requirements management tools (DOORS)
• MATLAB
• Jira
• Agile development methodologies
• Experience working on complex, technically advanced defense programs
