Sr Advanced Systems Engineer

Canonsburg, PA

Pay Estimated: $57.96-$67.38/Hour

Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

• Perform requirements analysis, definition, and management across the full system lifecycle.
• Conduct functional analysis and performance analysis to validate system capability and design feasibility.
• Develop and maintain system architecture and system design for complex electronic systems.
• Ensure requirements flow-down and traceability from system-level requirements to design, implementation, and test artifacts.
• Support systems integration activities across hardware, software, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Utilize model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools such as SysML/UML (MagicDraw).
• Apply systems engineering tools including DOORS, MATLAB, Jira, and Agile development methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on complex defense programs.
• Develop and present technical strategies and engineering plans to internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Support failure investigation and root cause analysis activities.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field
• Active or obtainable DoD Secret clearance preferred
• 5+ years of relevant systems engineering experience
• Systems Engineering lifecycle processes
• Requirements flow-down, management, and traceability
• System architecture and system integration
• MBSE tools (SysML / UML / MagicDraw)
• Engineering tools: DOORS, MATLAB, Jira
• Agile development methodologies
• Experience supporting complex, cutting-edge defense or technology programs
• Ability to work on multidisciplinary engineering teams supporting defense programs.
