The position analyzes equipment readiness, supply operations, and maintenance trends to support operational readiness and improve logistics processes.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide logistics analysis, sustainment planning, and supply chain support for National Guard CBRNE Response Enterprise programs, including WMD-CST, CERFP, and HRF units
- Analyze equipment readiness data, supply status, maintenance history, and logistics trends to identify issues affecting operational readiness and recommend corrective actions
- Conduct logistics assessments, supply analyses, and technical reviews; prepare reports, information papers, executive summaries, and briefings for NGB leadership
- Support development and updates to logistics policies, sustainment plans, equipment distribution plans, and program documentation in accordance with Joint Logistics Doctrine and Army writing standards
- Monitor logistics systems and programs including supply support activities, equipment fielding processes, lifecycle management of COTS equipment, and GSA vehicle fleet management
- Assist in equipment fielding initiatives by reviewing fielding plans, coordinating with Program Offices, supporting New Equipment Training (NET), and managing equipment-on-hand objectives
- Participate in logistics inspections, inventories, and readiness evaluations of CBRN specialized equipment and vehicles during training events and logistics assessment missions
- Provide technical guidance and customer support to WMD-CST, HRF, and CERFP units on logistics procedures, supply issues, and equipment sustainment solutions
- Prepare recurring deliverables including equipment quality assurance assessments, logistics analysis reports, status reports, and trip reports in support of NGB-J34-L leadership
- Monitor regulatory and safety compliance related to logistics operations, including equipment protection standards and hazardous material regulations
- Support logistics training events, briefings, and staff meetings by providing instruction on logistics processes, supply management, equipment accountability, and sustainment procedures
- Perform duties in an advisory capacity only and ensure that inherently governmental decisions are referred to authorized government officials
- Review and analyze daily the equipment readiness information and evaluate progress to resolve or mitigate potential problems.
- Communicate electronical supply operational information to the WMD-CST and CRE Logistics Branch Chiefs.
- Draft documents to update the WMD-CST Table of Distribution and Allowances and Common Table of Allowances (CTA) yearly Changes shall be approved by the ARNG G5/FMT Generating Force Branch.
- Review and report the logistics data requirements, discrepancies, and shortfalls that impact the readiness to the cv.
- Assist Branch Chiefs in the technical evaluation of logistics programs and NG CBRN.
- Perform random targeted logistics supply analysis, conduct reviews of technical and professional materials and provide weekly written equipment quality assurance assessments to the WMD-CST and CRE Logistics Branch Chiefs.
- Conduct sustainment research, review trends, interpret the Consequence Management Support Center (CoMSupCen) supply status, maintenance equipment aging, maintenance repair history, document submission history, budget rollup reports and provide/briefs detail analysis during the CoMSupCen Initial Planning Review (IPR) quarterly meetings.
- Provide technical and management support of Logistics Supply Support Activity (SSA) compiled in a monthly report to the WMD-CST and CRE Logistics Branch Chiefs.
- Provide research supply activities and draft technical requirements on support guidance for the Standard Operating Guide (SOG), update yearly
- Analyze documents and publications that require NGB-J3/4/7-L CRE review. Provide comments and recommendations for changes relevant to the NGB-J34-LR CRE Logistics Readiness Branch effort and submit recommendations to the CRE Logistics Branch Chief
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of military logistics operations, sustainment planning, and supply procedures
- Ability to analyze equipment readiness and logistics data to identify issues and recommend solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to prepare reports and briefings
- Ability to coordinate with government personnel, military units, and program stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Military Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or sustainment planning
- Experience analyzing logistics data and preparing reports, briefings, or analytical products
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) and pass required background checks
- Ability to travel periodically and support occasional extended work hours for training events or mission requirements
- Must operate in an advisory capacity and refer inherently governmental decisions to authorized government officials
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Department of Defense, National Guard, or military logistics operations preferred
