Protocol Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary liaison with local authorities on certain protocol related matters.
• Maintain and update the VIP database.
• Maintain biographical records for NATO officials and distinguished visitors.
• Plan, prepare, and execute conferences, exercises, seminars, ceremonies, and VIP visits.
• Design and manage comprehensive Distinguished Visitor (DV) programs, including:
o Event schedules and briefings
o Lodging, transportation, meals, and tours
o Base and ship visits and other logistics
• Provide advice and training on diplomatic protocols, precedence, customs, and etiquette.
Must Haves
• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of relevant military or professional experience supporting protocols in a similar environment.
• Experience supporting joint or international military staff in the planning of conferences, exercises, seminars, ceremonies, and high-level visits preferably within NATO.
• Knowledgeable on NATO Protocol standards.
• Can demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills.
o Managing complex schedules, experience using Cvent, using management protocol software like SocialTables, and experience utilizing database management tools like Microsoft Access.
Compensation: $115,000 - $150,000
