Responsibilities:
• Identify and frame cyberspace capability concepts.
o Analyze current and emerging challenges for NATO operational needs.
• Develop cyberspace operation capability concepts (E2E)
o Initial research and analysis, collect inputs from NATO stakeholders and SMEs, define aim, scope, and intended operational effect, draft formal NATO concepts, and submit concepts through NATO governance assisting through review and approval processes.
• Build and sustain communities of interest (CoI)
• Support experimentation and validation activities
o Evidence-based validation that cyberspace concepts can work in operational contexts.
• Develop engineering products and capabilities artifacts
o Lead author or key contributor to technical and engineering outputs.
Doctrine, training, organization, material, leadership, facilities, architectural designs, IERs, AoA.
• Prepare, organize, and participate in meetings, workshops, conferences, etc.
o Be prepared to travel at least 20 days out of the year.
Must Haves
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, systems engineering, or computer science and 5 years of recent experience within system engineering, capability concept development and implementation within a military context.
o A master’s degree in engineering, systems engineering, or computer science.
• Can provide post-degree, hands-on experience in authoring cyberspace concepts, specifications, architectures, functional analysis, designs specifically within military information and cyber systems.
• CISSP, GIAC Security Expert, or ISACA CISM certification
• Post-degree experience in architecture drafting using NATO Architectural Framework (NAF) or similar standard.
• Can demonstrate experience in planning, coordinating, and executing workshops for stakeholders including government and/or academia agencies.
