Summary:

The Operations Planner supports mission assurance and MRT-C assessment activities by coordinating with operational planners, mission owners, and installation leadership. This role integrates cyber dependency analysis and risk findings into operational planning, helping translate technical cyber risks into mission impacts and recommended courses of action.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:
  • Coordinate MRT-C assessment activities with operational planners, mission owners, installation leadership, and external partners
  • Maintain communication with installation leadership, mission owners, program offices, cyber protection teams, and other stakeholders
  • Track project milestones and team progress and provide regular updates to government leadership
  • Prepare installations for on-site assessments and coordinate logistics for assessment teams
  • Develop planning inputs incorporating cyber dependency analysis and mission risk considerations
  • Translate technical cyber risk findings into operational considerations and recommended courses of action
  • Support development of military orders, planning inputs, and mission assurance products
  • Coordinate with Joint, Coalition, Interagency, and partner organizations supporting operational missions
  • Develop and present mission assurance briefings for leadership and mission stakeholders
  • Respond to RFIs and taskers related to MRT-C assessments and mission assurance activities
  • Support quality assurance review of assessment reports and ensure standardized mission assurance data inputs
  • Maintain standardized templates and documentation used across assessment teams
  • Coordinate with MRT-C analysts to ensure assessment timelines and deliverables are met
  • Support assessment teams during on-site activities and assist with report development and mission dependency analysis.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and defensive measures supporting operational mission systems
  • Ability to analyze complex environments involving diverse networks, systems, and mission dependencies
  • Capability to identify critical mission systems and cyber dependencies to support risk prioritization and mitigation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including translating technical cyber risk into mission impact
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate tasks in dynamic operational environments
  • Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with mission owners, technical SMEs, and leadership

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum 5 years of operational planning or mission analysis experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP), JOPES, or APEX planning frameworks
  • Understanding of cyber operations and their impact on operational mission execution
  • Experience coordinating across multiple organizations and operational stakeholders
  • TS/SCI clearance required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree or any relevant certifications


Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 annually.
