Our client is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Cloud Engineer to architect, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native infrastructure in a classified environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep AWS expertise, strong Infrastructure-as-Code capabilities, and a security-first mindset aligned with federal compliance standards.
This role requires daily SCIF presence (as needed) and participation in on-call production support rotations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Architect scalable, secure, multi-environment cloud solutions
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines supporting complex microservices architectures
Develop and maintain full-stack applications with operational excellence standards
Implement enterprise-grade monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
Enforce security-first infrastructure design principles
Support ATO processes and maintain compliance documentation
Implement security controls aligned to NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP
Develop secrets management and security automation frameworks
Mentor team members on DevOps best practices and cloud-native technologies
Required Skills:
Active TS/SCI with CI Poly and current NGA eligibility
Active SBU, SECNET, COE, and Privileged User accounts
Willingness to work in SCIF daily (as required)
5+ years professional software engineering experience with significant DevOps focus
5+ years Bash and Python scripting
5+ years CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent)
5+ years AWS cloud experience and cloud-native architecture design
3+ years AWS services experience including:
ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, SageMaker
RDS, DynamoDB
3+ years experience with:
IAM policies, security groups, network security
Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation)
Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
ATO processes and security documentation
