Job Title: Infrastructure Events Lead System Administrator
Overview:
You’ll support the development and testing of prototype mission suites for the Missile Defense System. You’ll lead a team to build and verify the test environment, run daily operations, and manage backups. This role is on-site with occasional non-standard hours during events.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and coordinate the setup of prototype mission suites for flight or ground tests.
Lead and supervise a team to build and verify each part of the test environment.
Support infrastructure during events and run daily Windows/Linux operations.
Manage data backups and recovery plans.
Ensure the environment stays secure and compliant.
Required Qualifications:
DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, CCNA-Security) and an active DoD Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Network Administration, Math, Physics, or related field, plus 8 years of experience. Or a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience. (Alternatively, 12 years of experience without a degree.)***
Strong Linux administration skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with Linux security, SELinux, and Red Hat repos
System hardening and security best practices (STIG)
Automation tools (Ansible), Windows Active Directory, and backup/recovery technologies
VMware ESXi, Nutanix, containers, and orchestration
Git, Nexus, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence
C2BMC integration experience
Good written and verbal communication
Understanding of software development processes
Network troubleshooting (netstat, TCPdump)
Compensation: $65-$85/hr***
