Koniag IT Systems LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an RPA Developer with a TS/SCI security clearance to support KITS and our government customer at Langley Air Force Base, VA.

The Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer designs, prototypes, and deploys automation solutions that directly support Air Combat Command's operational mission. Work embedded with ACC Headquarters staff and ISR Wings, identifying automation opportunities, building working prototypes in 2-4-week cycles, and transitioning validated solutions into daily operations with complete documentation that enables Government personnel to sustain them independently.
This is a hands-on development role. Write bots, test them with actual users, refine them based on operational feedback, and deliver solutions that Airmen use every day. Measured by throughput: a minimum of three prototypes per quarter and two operational transitions per quarter, working in parallel with another RPA Developer to maintain continuous delivery.

Essential Job Functions:
RPA Prototyping & Development
- Conduct workflow discovery interviews with ACC personnel to identify automation opportunities
- Assess processes for automation potential using structured intake criteria (inputs, decision points, data sources, manual workload burden)
- Design and develop RPA solutions using UiPath and Microsoft Power Automate on enterprise-approved platforms
- Build functional prototypes within 2-4 week cycles that users can test in realistic mission contexts
- Maintain a personal development pipeline of 2-3 concurrent use cases to sustain quarterly output targets
Iterative Refinement & User Validation
- Conduct 2-3 iterative refinement cycles with operational users before transitioning solutions
- Incorporate user feedback to improve bot accuracy, reliability, and usability
- Test bots across appropriate classification levels (NIPRNet, SIPRNet, AFSCI as assigned)
- Validate solutions against real operational data and edge cases identified by users
Solution Transition & Sustainment
- Deliver complete technical documentation including architecture diagrams, configuration details, and data flow specifications
- Create tailored user training packages and operational SOPs for each transitioned workflow
- Develop Government sustainment plans enabling ACC personnel to maintain and enhance solutions independently
- Provide all source code, configuration files, and integration specifications to the Government
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with Government personnel who will sustain the solution
Cross-Wing Scaling & Collaboration
- Document lessons learned and adaptation guidance for solutions that may benefit other ACC wings
- Collaborate with AI/RPA Solutions Architects to identify cross-wing scaling opportunities
- Contribute to the enterprise solution catalog organized by mission function
- Support mobile training teams during wing visits to demonstrate transitioned RPA capabilities

- Primary Work Location: Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE), Virginia
Classified Facilities:
- Regular work in Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and secure spaces
Workspace:
- Government-provided office space in secure facility; access to NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and collaboration tools
Classified Work:
- Regular access to classified environments (SIPRNet, AFSCI) required for coordination and stakeholder engagement
Travel Requirements:
- Frequency: None at this time; however subject to change
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation

Schedule and Availability:
Core Hours:
- 0800-1700 EST, Monday-Friday), with occasional extended hours to meet mission deadlines or support operational events
Flexibility:
- Occasional early morning or evening meetings to accommodate wing schedules across time zones
Surge Periods:
- Increased hours during major milestones, events, or exercises (with advance notice)
On-Call:
- Not required, but responsiveness to urgent issues expected (email/phone within 4 hours during duty hours)
Telework:
- No telework eligibility for unclassified administrative tasks; all classified work must be performed on-site in approved facilities
Security Environment:
- Work with classified information up to Top Secret/SCI level
- Compliance with OPSEC, CUI handling, and classification protocols
- Subject to security inspections, audits, and continuous evaluation

Minimum Qualifications, Certifications, and Platform Credentials:

Security Clearance:
- Secret (T3) clearance minimum - Required at start
- TS/SCI clearance preferred for assignments supporting classified workflows at ISR Wings and HQ ACC/A2
Experience:
- 3+ years of hands-on RPA solution development and deployment experience
- Proven track record delivering operational RPA bots from discovery through production deployment
- Experience with iterative development methodologies and user-centered design
- Federal government or DoD RPA experience strongly preferred
Certifications (Required):
- UiPath Certified RPA Associate - Required
- Microsoft Power Automate certification - Required
- CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8140.03 baseline) - Required
Certifications (Preferred):
- Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900)
- UiPath Advanced RPA Developer
- Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate
Technical Competencies:
- Expert-level proficiency with UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, and Automation Cloud
- Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Power Automate (cloud flows, desktop flows, process advisor)
- Strong understanding of Power Platform ecosystem (Power Apps, Power BI integration)
- Experience with API integration, database connectivity, and data transformation
- Knowledge of bot exception handling, logging, and error recovery patterns
- Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines for RPA deployments
Performance Expectations:
Measured against clear, documented output targets:
- Minimum 3 prototypes per quarter (functional bots validated by users in test environments)
- Minimum 2 operational transitions per quarter (bots accepted by COR and integrated into daily operations with full documentation)
- 2-4 week prototyping cycles per solution (from discovery kickoff to user-testable bot)
- 100% documentation compliance (every transitioned solution includes technical specs, user training, SOPs, and sustainment plan)
- These are not stretch goals. These are baseline expectations derived from Team Koniag's proven RPA delivery model at other military organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Air Force or ACC mission sets
- Background in intelligence, ISR, or combat operations workflows
- Familiarity with DoD data governance and security compliance requirements
- Experience developing bots that operate across NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments
- Previous work with Advana, AskSage, or other DoD enterprise platforms
- Understanding of AI/ML integration with RPA workflows
