Position Overview

The Lead Information System Security Developer (ISSD) is responsible for leading all ISSDs to capture and refine information security requirements and ensure the requirements are effectively integrated into the R2C2 platform through purposeful security architecting, design, development, and configuration.

Primary Responsibilities

• Employ best practices when implementing security controls, including software engineering methodologies, system/security engineering principles, secure design, secure architecture, and secure coding techniques• Coordinate ISSD security-related activities with the information security architect, VAA, Information System Owner, and common control provider
• Complete training and maintain certification IAW AFI 17- 1305; personnel performing any information assurance Workforce System Architecture and Engineering specialty function(s) (one or more functions) at any level must be certified to the highest-level function(s) performed
• Execute and document continuous monitoring processes, tools, and configurations
• Ensure proper configuration management procedures are followed prior to implementation
• Develop ATO and CtF BoE, reviews, assessments (e.g., SSP, POA&M)
• Ensure solutions for security controls are designed and implemented in accordance with DoW and Component policies and regulations

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience shall include leading technical and non-technical system risk and vulnerability assessments, developing artifacts and inputs to the Risk Management Framework process, designing and implementing configuration management processes, identifying system cybersecurity requirements to plan and conduct system security design and development incorporating cybersecurity vulnerability solutions into system designs.
• Required to possess an active and current Certified Information System Security Professional Certification or equivalent)
• Must possess a Top-Secret clearance based on a Special Background Investigation and be eligible for SCI and SAP access.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification (Required)

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field required. Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or related technical field preferred.
