The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, testing, and developing well-designed web-based software code that is testable and efficient, using best software development practices to meet user needs. This role involves recommending software upgrades for current and future systems, translating User Interface (UI)/User Experience (UX) design wireframes, ensuring software continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing, and documenting every aspect of the application, service, or environment as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades.

- Design, test, and develop well-designed web-based software code that is testable and efficient
- Utilize best software development practices to meet user needs.
- Recommend software upgrades for current and future systems.
- Translate User Interface (UI)/User Experience (UX) design wireframes into functional web applications.
- Ensure software continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing.
- Document every aspect of the application, service, or environment for future reference and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
- Write clean, well-documented, and scalable code.
- Debug and resolve technical issues to maintain the performance and security of web applications.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the application remains current and competitive.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in web application development.
- 5 Year Degree Information Technology or related field or Equivalent Experience.
- 5+ years relevant experience.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Power Platform and SharePoint.
- Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end web development technologies.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages.
- Experience with UI/UX design principles and translating design wireframes into
- functional applications.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices.
- Ability to recommend and implement software upgrades.
- Experience in software maintenance and testing to ensure continued functionality.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React.
- Top Secret Clearance is required.
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
