AMO, an Akima company, is looking add for a C4I Testing Engineer with a Top Secret clearance to the team in Summerville, SC. This full-time position will support the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) initiatives as a C4I Testing Engineer responsible for RMF package development, vulnerability remediation, compliance validation, and cybersecurity assessment activities in support of shipboard and enterprise systems.
This role supports Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities within eMASS, conducts vulnerability assessments using ACAS/Nessus, and ensures systems comply with DoD, DoN, CNSS, and NIST cybersecurity policies and standards.
Responsibilities
Plans and implements security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data from loss and service interruptions. Analyzes and documents security risks, breaches, and other cyber security incidents and the damage they cause. Develops and implements a network disaster recovery plan and oversees the monitoring of the computer networks for security issues. Collaborates with the security team to perform tests and find network weaknesses. Researches and keeps current on the latest IT intelligence technologies, trends, and security standards.

RMF & eMASS Support
- Perform multiple roles within eMASS to support RMF package development.
- Provide inputs to security control documentation and maintain RMF artifacts.
- Support A&A activities throughout system lifecycle.
- Assist with maintaining system accreditation posture.
- Collaborate with engineers to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Develop mitigation strategies to minimize operational risk.
- Track remediation efforts and support POA&M updates.
- Implement and apply applicable DoD, DoN, CNSS, and NIST cybersecurity policies and requirements.
- Conduct security compliance evaluations on shipboard C4I platforms.
- Support STIG and Security Requirements Guide (SRG) implementation and validation.
- Support network mapping and vulnerability scanning activities.
- Utilize ACAS/Nessus and related tools for system assessments.
- Ensure scan data is properly analyzed and documented.
- Assist in validating scan results against expected security posture.
- Participate in ad hoc cybersecurity data calls supporting critical assessments.
- Develop functional requirements documentation supporting testing and compliance efforts.
- Provide clear technical documentation and reporting for stakeholders.
- Apply strong foundational networking knowledge including TCP/IP, OSPF, and general routing concepts.
- Support testing and validation of C4I systems within both lab and shipboard environments.
Qualifications
- Active Top-Secret clearance.
- High school diploma or HS equivalency certificate is acceptable with additional years of experience as defined in the next category).
- 2 - 5 Years of practical experience in a Cybersecurity, Engineering, T&E or A&A (formerly C&A) related field.
- Experience supporting RMF and eMASS documentation.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (ACAS, Nessus).
- Familiarity with STIG and SRG implementation.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing protocols).
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- DISA ESS 201 (cyber.mil).
- DISA ESS 301 (cyber.mil).
- ACAS Operator and Supervisor Course (cyber.mil).
Note: Required per DoD standards to serve as an ACAS Administrator - eMASS Access Training.
