Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Aerospace Structural Engineer to support critical U.S. Air Force programs at Tinker AFB. This role involves researching, designing, developing, and analyzing aircraft and aerospace structural systems for manned and unmanned platforms. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with systems-level thinking to deliver innovative engineering solutions that directly impact national security missions.
This position requires the ability to work independently with minimal direction while leading and mentoring engineering team members. The role also supports the evolution of legacy and modern airframe systems through advanced finite element modeling (FEM), digital engineering, and computer-aided design (CAD).
Key Responsibilities
Research, analyze, design, develop, and test aircraft and aerospace structural systems, including airframes and associated components
Lead and support structural engineering efforts across large-scale aerospace programs
Develop and execute finite element models (FEM) using OEM loads data or structural test fixture data
Perform structural analysis to support design validation, modification, and sustainment activities
Create and maintain airframe structural technical plans using digital engineering methodologies
Apply advanced engineering principles to solve complex, multi-disciplinary structural problems
Translate operational and real-world requirements into clear technical specifications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders to deliver mission-focused solutions
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance; may supervise engineering staff
Support continuous improvement through innovative use of advanced tools and technologies
Compensation:
$160,000 - $165,000 per year annual salary.
