ASRC Federal Vistronix is actively seeking an ETL Datastage/SQL Administrator with strong IBM Datastage experience, including Datastage administration, and SQL Server DBA skills. The candidate must be proficient in administering IBM DataStage environments, managing ETL workflows, and performing SQL Server database administration tasks.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic operations team and will be responsible for administration of IBM Datastage tool, SSIS code deployments and SQL Server Database Administration.

Work Arrangement: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and patch IBM DataStage, Information Server components, and associated infrastructure
  • Monitor job execution, resolve failures, and tune performance across ETL workflows
  • Troubleshoot environment issues including connectivity, resource contention, parallel job failures, and configuration errors
  • Manage DataStage projects, metadata repositories, user roles, permissions, and security policies
  • Remediate security vulnerabilities in a timely manner
  • Deploy SSIS packages to various environments
  • Deploy and schedule DataStage packages across various environments
  • Manage SQL Server database security, permissions, roles
  • Partner with application teams to support SQL Database deployments, schema changes, and performance tuning
  • Track all work and incidents in Jira and Service Now


Work week generally consists of 40 hours including core hours. Some after-hours work can be expected at times. Job responsibilities rotate across the team on a schedule.

Education and Experience:

A degree such as Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering with 3 years of relevant work experience or 8 years of relevant work experience.

Required Skills:

A successful candidate must have the following experience/competencies

  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating systems
  • Monitor job execution, resolve failures, and tune performance across ETL workflows
  • Ability to communicate across multiple teams
  • Extensive experience with IBM DataStage software administration, including installation, configuration, tuning, and migration.
  • Experience with IBM DataStage package deployment and scheduling
  • Ability to analyze and remediate security vulnerabilities
  • Follow processes and track work and incidents in Jira and Service Now
  • Strong SQL Server DBA skills, including database security, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and script execution.


Preferred Skills:

Additional consideration will be given to candidates with the following skills/competencies.

  • Experience with installation and configuration of SSIS software
  • Experience with SSIS package deployment and cmd file configuration
  • Experience with SQL Server always on technology
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues within SQL Server
