Overview
• Job Summary:
• Support design and data management for weapons system development at Eglin AFB.
• Build, modify, and maintain CAD models for components (e.g., bomb bodies, noses, lugs, tails).
• Manage structured file systems and maintain proper naming conventions.
• Support assembly creation by linking individual components into complete weapon configurations.
• Use DOS-style tools for file management and exporting component lists into Excel.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate with engineering teams.
• Maintain clean CAD file structures.
• Track component pedigree and ensure CAD data meets engineering requirements.
Required Skills and Experience
• Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree.
• Experience:
• 4 years of CAD design background.
• Preferred: Siemens NX; SolidWorks or CATIA acceptable.
• Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong computer skills for file documentation, storage, and directory management.
• Familiarity with DOS-based tools (listing folders, stripping/renaming files, exporting directories).
• Ability to extract component file names and export lists for tracking.
• Understanding of CAD assemblies and components.
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
• Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Experience:
• Weapons systems (air-to-air or air-to-ground guided missiles).
• Component pedigree tracking or configuration management.
• Integrating CAD data with external software tools.
