Telecommunications Design Engineer

Here’s What you’ll Need:
• Candidates must possess a current TS/SCI security clearance
• Current Network+, Security+, Cloud+, SSCP, CASP+, CISSP, CCNP Security
• Comptia Security + or equivalent in order to be considered. Position requires candidate meets 8570 requirements.
Responsibilities & Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Plan, design, and implement voice, data, and network communication systems. This role focuses on translating business and technical requirements into scalable, reliable, and secure telecommunication solutions across enterprises, government, or carrier networks
• Responsible for daily Operations & Maintenance (O&M), direct touch maintenance, and provisioning, while simultaneously analyzing the IT architecture to develop long-range strategic plans.
• Create and maintain key engineering work products—including IT roadmaps, engineering configurations, rack elevations, and bills of materials
• Ensure all solutions for data center and telecommunications systems networks adhere to Department of Defense (DoD) and commercial best practices.
• Design and document telecommunications systems
• Develop detailed network diagrams, schematics, and design specifications
• Perform capacity planning, bandwidth analysis, and system sizing
• Collaborate with project managers, network engineers, and stakeholders to meet project requirements
• Support RF and wired network design for optimal coverage and performance
• Conduct feasibility studies, site surveys, and technology assessments
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security policies
• Assist with implementation, testing, and integration of telecom systems
• Provide technical support during project deployment and post-installation optimization
