AMO, an Akima company, is looking add a technically savvy Logistician III to the team in Summerville, SC. They will support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) network by providing logistics, property accountability, and configuration management support for hardware and software assets.
Responsibilities
The Logistician III is responsible for tracking government and contractor-acquired property, maintaining inventory and license records, supporting data calls and audits, and ensuring compliance with DoD property and disposal procedures. This role works closely with engineering, configuration management, and program leadership to maintain accurate asset visibility and lifecycle accountability.

Responsibilities
The Logistician III is responsible for tracking government and contractor-acquired property, maintaining inventory and license records, supporting data calls and audits, and ensuring compliance with DoD property and disposal procedures. This role works closely with engineering, configuration management, and program leadership to maintain accurate asset visibility and lifecycle accountability.
Asset & Property Accountability:
- Track all hardware and software procured, including warranty start and end dates, and ensure records are properly maintained.
- Maintain Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Minor Property inventory lists in support of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) reporting to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
- Conduct periodic inventory reviews and communicate findings to management.
- Capture and document relevant configuration and asset information for projects and products.
- Ensure all software licenses are registered, tracked, and maintained.
- Support and provide information for data calls related to hardware and software material.
- Generate and monitor change status accounting records and reports.
- Assist engineering and program teams with assigned configuration items.
- Support configuration management (CM) audits conducted by customers and internal QA teams.
- Assist in developing documentation used for product support during acquisition and sustainment phases.
- Perform additional logistical and configuration management duties as assigned.
- Review, create, and process Command IT for You (CITY) Retirement/Return requests for Network Services IPT.
- Prepare and submit documentation for turn-in of RDT&E Minor Property to the appropriate Organizational Property Administration Office.
- Prepare and submit documentation for non-minor property items in accordance with Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) procedures.
- Coordinate hard drive turn-in to Information System Security Management (ISSM) for proper disposal.
Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance.
- Education: High school/vocational school degree or GED certificate.
- Experience: 15 years professional experience in integrated logistics support.
- Experience tracking hardware/software assets and maintaining inventory records.
- Familiarity with Government Furnished Property (GFP) accountability procedures.
- Experience supporting RDT&E or Navy programs.
- Familiarity with CDRL reporting requirements.
- Experience supporting property disposal and DRMO processes.
- Experience supporting configuration management environments.
