AMO, an Akima company, is looking add for a ACAS System Administrator to the team in Summerville, SC. This full-time position will support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) network as an ACAS System Administrator responsible for deployment, sustainment, and cybersecurity compliance of the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) suite.
The ACAS System Administrator provides architecture guidance, operational testing support, Tier III troubleshooting, and vulnerability management oversight across classified and unclassified environments. This role serves as a Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) and ensures ACAS data integrity across Navy enterprise reporting systems.
Responsibilities
Plans and implements security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data from loss and service interruptions. Analyzes and documents security risks, breaches, and other cyber security incidents and the damage they cause. Develops and implements a network disaster recovery plan and oversees the monitoring of the computer networks for security issues. Collaborates with the security team to perform tests and find network weaknesses. Researches and keeps current on the latest IT intelligence technologies, trends, and security standards.

ACAS Architecture & Implementation
- Provide overall architecture guidance and assist with deploying and configuring the ACAS solution.
- Support operational testing and evaluation of ACAS components and future releases.
- Provide Tier III support for ACAS implementations.
- Troubleshoot ACAS issues and support sustainment and maintenance across all technical components.
- Perform maintenance tasking on Tenable Security Center (Tenable.sc) and Nessus scanners.
- Manage all workstations scanned with Nessus Agents in Nessus Manager.
- Ensure scan data properly flows from Nessus Manager to Tenable.sc for complete evaluation.
- Assist in management of rogue system discovery and reporting.
- Serve as the Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) by comparing site scans against the authorized security posture.
- Ensure ACAS data collected during scans is published to:
- Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM)
- Continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring (CMRS-N) systems
- Maintain thorough knowledge of ACAS policies and procedures, including:
- ACAS Best Practices Guide
- ACAS Best Practices Policy Deviations
- ACAS General Requirements Guide
- ACAS Publishing Guide
- Maintain working knowledge of Navy-issued Cyber Directives (TASKORD, OPORD, EXORD, etc.) related to ACAS scanning and compliance.
- Maintain all qualification(s) required under the Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) framework for Privileged Access Administrator (PAA) roles.
- Ensure ACAS operations align with DoD and Navy cybersecurity standards.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's level degree in any engineering discipline.
- 3 years professional experience in engineering.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
- Experience administering ACAS, Tenable.sc, and Nessus environments.
- Experience supporting vulnerability scanning in DoD environments.
- Experience interpreting STIGs and vulnerability findings.
- Experience supporting Navy or DoD cybersecurity directives.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
