AMO, an Akima company, is looking add for a JAMF Systems Administrator with a Top-Secret clearance to the team in Summerville, SC. This full-time position will support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) network as a JAMF System Administrator responsible for integrating and sustaining Apple device management solutions within a secure government infrastructure.
This role provides enterprise-level Apple infrastructure support, Jamf administration, advanced troubleshooting of macOS/iOS systems, and integration of Apple device management into classified and unclassified environments. The JAMF System Administrator also mentors Tier 1-3 support personnel and interfaces directly with senior government stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support. Designs, implements, installs, maintains, and administers infrastructures including hardware, software, and various configurations. Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tune appropriately. Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures. Works with others to establish and improve processes and procedures.

Apple Infrastructure & MDM Administration:
- Integrate Apple device management systems (Jamf Pro and/or Apple-based MDM platforms) into a government enterprise infrastructure.
- Create, deploy, and administer macOS installation images and application packages using Jamf.
- Provision and manage Mac systems, including storage configuration, backup, and restore tasks.
- Administer and maintain Apple device compliance and configuration baselines.
- Respond to and resolve advanced end-user issues involving macOS and iOS devices.
- Collaborate with system administrators and engineers to ensure Apple infrastructure aligns with enterprise standards.
- Provide architecture guidance for Apple platform integration within DoD environments.
- Support Linux systems storage and integration where required.
- Maintain configuration documentation and controlled implementation processes.
- Mentor and train Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support specialists on Apple infrastructure best practices.
- Interface daily with senior government personnel to provide technical updates and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Continuously improve Apple infrastructure standards and lifecycle management processes.
- Maintain all qualification(s) required under the Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) framework for Privileged Access Administrator (PAA) roles.
- Ensure Apple systems are configured in accordance with DoD security requirements and enterprise policies.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Clearance.
- Education: Master's level degree in any engineering discipline.
Experience:7 years professional experience in engineering. - Hands-on experience administering Jamf or other Apple-based MDM solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of macOS and iOS administration.
- Experience integrating Apple systems into enterprise/government environments.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior staff.
- Jamf 200+ Certification (or higher).
- Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT).
- Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP).
