AMO, an Akima company, is looking to add a Requirements Analyst with a Top Secret clearance to the team in Summerville, SC. This full-time position will support the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) network as a Requirements Analyst responsible for developing, executing, and continuously improving the program's requirements management process.

This position serves as the bridge between customers, stakeholders, program leadership, and technical teams to ensure business requirements are clearly defined, documented, prioritized, tracked, and translated into actionable technical specifications. The Requirements Analyst ensures traceability, SLA alignment, and disciplined documentation practices in support of enterprise IT service delivery.

Responsibilities

Monitors the quality of products. Performs inspections to meet the standard set by the program(S) or company. Recommend corrective actions in order to ensure products meet required specifications. Initiates improvements related to quality findings. Examines reports and trends to identify areas of opportunity.
Requirements Management & Process Governance
  • Develop, maintain, improve, and execute the organization's requirements management process.
  • Identify, capture, formulate, prioritize, and manage project requirements for applications and systems.
  • Maintain and execute structured requirements tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure complete traceability of requirements through documentation and status reporting.
Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
  • Work directly with Customers, Stakeholders, and Program Staff to support development and maintenance of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Facilitate alignment between business expectations and IT capabilities to deliver effective business solutions.
  • Ensure business requirements are complete, validated, and approved prior to technical implementation.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for system administrators and engineering teams.
  • Effectively communicate requirements to technical/development personnel.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Create comprehensive functional requirements documents.
  • Develop custom reports, dashboards, and documentation detailing requirements management activities and statuses.
  • Prepare executive-level summaries and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Ensure documentation is client-ready and audit-supportive.
Project Coordination
  • Utilize Microsoft Project, SharePoint, or other project management tools to manage:
    • Work streams.
    • Task dependencies.
    • Gantt charts.
    • Schedules and predecessors.
  • Support cross-functional coordination to ensure milestones and deliverables remain aligned with requirements.

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience per contract guidelines).
  • Minimum 7-10 years of professional experience in requirements management, quality control, or enterprise IT support environments.
  • Experience developing and managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Experience translating business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and SharePoint.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Certifications
  • ITIL Foundations.
  • CMCI (Configuration Management Certification Institute).
