Responsibilities
- Works supporting the PBMF MH-6 program.
- The Aircraft Mechanic I troubleshoots malfunctions on aircraft structures, landing gear, rotor systems, flight controls, engines, and transmission systems.
- Disassembles, cleans, washes, inspects, repairs, and reassembles aircraft in support of phase maintenance events.
- This mechanic will read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Will record all maintenance in electronic logbooks.
Qualifications
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance.
- 6+ years' experience in rotary wing/military aviation.
- Must be able to pass a basic physical to operate equipment/vehicles on the flight line and be a member of the aircraft towing team.
- Experience using aircraft special tools and test sets.
- Must have own tools/toolbox.
- Must be able to climb on aircraft and maintenance stands.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Experience with MH6 aircraft is desirable.
