Responsibilities
- Conducts all scheduled satellite pass supports, readiness, training, and exercises
- Manages union personnel
- Ensures all operations tasks are conducted in accordance with approved directives
- Writes and reviews site operational instructions, ensuring compliance by employees
- Coordinates all operational activities with customers including the prime contractor and government personnel
- Interfaces with Akima Shared Services on employee issues; payroll, timekeeping, benefits, etc.
- Collects and analyzes operational performance data; recommends process improvements.
- Ensures mission success is maintained/improved with current/future satellite pass requirements
- Enforces standards and deploys company directed discipline practices when needed
- Conducts and supervises employee technical training program in an on-the-job environment
- Acts as liaison to government customer for all contract related matters
- Performs other collateral duties as assigned or directed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least five (5) years Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) experience. In lieu of degree, four (4) years of additional related work experience will be considered
- Must hold and maintain a current active Secret clearance
- Experience managing in a CBA environment
- Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to lead employees in a team environment
- Experience interfacing with military personnel and government customers
- Must be able to climb high ladders, work on elevated platforms and antennas
- Must be able to perform strenuous physical work to include walking, lifting, pulling loads, bending, kneeling, sitting and reaching overhead
- Must be able to read, write and clearly speak English
- Position may require additional government certifications as necessary
- Full time - Day shift, and as determined by Deputy Program Manager
