The Systems Engineer is responsible for traditional systems engineering functions to include scheduling, risk, requirements, VV&T, configuration management and MBSE/modeling.

The Systems Engineer is responsible for traditional systems engineering functions to include scheduling, risk, requirements, VV&T, configuration management and MBSE/modeling.
Responsibilities
- Systems engineering of interrelated systems acquisitions specifically cloud services, software services platform, DevSecOps, data centricity and management, data management, MBSE, enterprise governance, across organizational and system boundaries
- Engage with the national and tactical communities to collaboratively design, document, validate, and deliver architectures, systems and innovative ground capabilities in support of the national space architecture
- Research, gather and write formal requirements, translate those requirements into user stories and statements of work
- Provide schedule, requirements, configuration, and risk management support and VV&T support
- Support Agile-based program management and implementation of a model-Base Systems Engineering approach
- Systems engineering of multiple interrelated satellite ground system acquisitions specifically digital engineering and data engineering
Required Skills/Qualifications
- TS/SCI with polygraph
- HS diploma or GED plus 10+ years of experience or AS/AA degree plus 8 years of experience or a BA/BS degree plus 6 years of experience or an MA/MS degree and 4 years of experience
- Strong Systems Engineering discipline with traditional functions such as risk, requirements, configuration, or schedule management, or testing experience
- Experience working space and ground programs from architecture-definition documentation (ADD/CONOPS) through requirements derivation and allocation, performance metric generation and assessment, test case development, and requirement closure tracing
Desired Skills/Qualifications
- BS STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) in engineering discipline
- Professional cert in Systems Engineering (such as DAWIA, INCOSE, MBSE such as OCSMP SysML Model Builder Intermediate), Agile, PMP
- Domain knowledge and expertise for systems engineering of multiple interrelated satellite ground system acquisitions
- IC experience w/in the last 5 years
- Experience with RDNG/DOORs requirements database management/repository, Rhapsody, SysML applications, Confluence, Jira, or JSMART
- Understand how system requirements, design, analysis, verification and validation activities are enabled by MBSE across the digital thread (the engineering lifecycle)
