Position Overview
OSAAVA Services is seeking a C2 / C4ISR Modeling Systems Engineer to support mission system architecture and modeling efforts within Air Force Modeling & Simulation environments.
This role focuses on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), SysML modeling, and mission architecture development supporting command and control (C2), communications (C3), and C4ISR systems. The selected candidate will support engineering teams responsible for modeling mission architectures, system interactions, and operational mission threads within Department of Defense programs.
The ideal candidate brings experience supporting Air Force or DoD systems engineering programs, with hands-on expertise in MBSE methodologies, system architecture modeling, and integration across complex mission platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) artifacts supporting C2 / C4ISR systems
• Create and maintain SysML diagrams, including BDD, IBD, Activity, and Sequence diagrams
• Support mission architecture development aligned with Air Force and DoD engineering frameworks
• Conduct mission thread analysis to evaluate system interactions and operational workflows
• Support development of DoDAF or UAF architecture views and system models
• Collaborate with engineering teams supporting model integration, system analysis, and mission capability development
• Maintain model repositories, configuration control, and model documentation
• Support system integration and interoperability analysis across mission platforms
Required Qualifications
• Experience supporting Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) development
• Hands-on experience developing SysML models within engineering tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler
• Experience supporting DoD or Air Force systems engineering programs
• Understanding of C2 / C3 / C4ISR mission architectures and operational systems
• Active security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) or AFLCMC programs
• Experience supporting Modeling & Simulation environments
• Familiarity with DoDAF or Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
• Experience supporting mission engineering or operational analysis efforts
• Experience integrating MBSE models with simulation or analysis environments
