Position Summary
Insight Global is seeking a Knowledge Management Specialist to support a large Agile software development program by strengthening documentation quality, knowledge sharing, and information governance. This role plays a key part in improving program maturity, reducing knowledge gaps, and ensuring critical technical and operational information is well‑organized and accessible.
You will work across Product, Development, Test, DevOps, and Program Management teams, serving as a central point of integration for technical documentation, process artifacts, and operational knowledge. This is not a purely administrative or writing role—it is a strategic position that directly supports program continuity, compliance readiness, and long‑term scalability.
The role reports directly to the Documentation Lead and will be the sole Knowledge Management Specialist on the program.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain structured knowledge management and documentation practices
Capture, organize, and standardize technical, process, and operational information
Improve documentation quality, consistency, and accessibility across Agile teams
Identify documentation gaps and recommend sustainable knowledge governance solutions
Support program continuity, audits, and compliance readiness
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, technical leads, and Program Management
Maintain and enhance documentation within Confluence and related collaboration tools
Required Qualifications:
Eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Technical Writing, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
2+ years of experience in technical writing, editing, and proofreading
2+ years of experience in knowledge management, technical documentation, or process improvement within a software development environment
Experience supporting Agile/Scrum teams
Demonstrated ability to organize complex technical and operational information
Hands‑on experience with Confluence or similar documentation platforms
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross‑functional environment
Compensation
Compensation is based on years of relevant experience, education, clearance status, and alignment with required and preferred qualifications.
Hourly contract rate: up to $40/hour for candidates meeting core requirements
Hourly contract rate: up to $52/hour for candidates who meet all required qualifications and possess preferred skills
Conversion salary: targeted range of $75,000–$95,000 annually, based on performance, experience, and program needs
This role offers a clear path to full‑time conversion with long‑term program stability.
