Dexis is recruiting for an experienced Special Operations Strategic Planner to support U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) in developing and synchronizing special operations activities across the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility. The position focuses on providing expert guidance on special operations force employment while ensuring synchronization of planning efforts across Department of Defense, interagency partners, and multinational forces.
Responsibilities
The Special Operations Strategic Planner will develop plans, orders, and concepts of operations that align special operations support with USCENTCOM mission and Commander's priorities. This role requires expertise in planning and synchronizing the full spectrum of special operations across joint, multinational, and interagency contexts. The planner will advise USCENTCOM leadership on special operations force employment while analyzing and ensuring synchronization of special operations activities throughout the Area of Responsibility.
Key duties include:
• Provide and apply Special Operations expertise for assisting in developing plans, orders and CONOPs and aligning Special Operations support to the USCENTCOM mission and Commander’s priorities within the CCJ3.
• Provide and apply expertise to planning, plans coordination, and synchronizing efforts supporting the full spectrum of special operations in joint, multinational, and interagency contexts.-
• Utilize technical expertise, experience, and knowledge of all Special Operations Forces core missions to advise the USCENTCOM Commander on the employment and utilization of special operations forces.
• Utilize cognitive problem-solving skills to overcome complex operational and strategic challenge- Provide Special Operations/IW expertise for current operations and support other special activities requirements
• Provide coordination of FOIAs and MDRs according to legal standards set by the various laws governing the processing, declassification, and release of information from designated USCENTCOM files. This includes thorough searching of files controlled by CCJ5 for information relevant for government personnel to determine declassification and ability to disseminate information based on a detailed knowledge of existing legal statutes, current USCENTCOM information strategies and advising CCJ5 on the FOIA and MDR Program in accordance with USCENTCOM directives to ensure plans and orders are properly safeguarded.
Qualifications
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the Special Operations Community
• Minimum 3 years of experience at a Joint or Combined Command Headquarters
• Comprehensive knowledge of Special Operations Forces core missions
• Experience in multinational and interagency coordination
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Possess and maintain a minimum-security clearance of Top Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience at USCENTCOM
• Advanced degree in relevant field
• Experience in the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility
• Background in strategic planning at combatant command level
