Work location: Hybrid/Remote ( must be flexible to work onsite in Beltsville, MD )

ASRC Federal is seeking a detailed, customer-oriented individual for our Program Security Specialist position supporting multiple divisions within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage personnel security clearances across assigned company entities to ensure that all DCSA and government requirements for the employees to include SEAD 3 and SEAD 4 training requirements are met.
- Ensure full compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) by implementing, monitoring, and enforcing all security procedures related to personnel security, physical security and incident reporting.
- Report security incidents in accordance with NISPOM and company policy by identifying potential violations, documenting all relevant details, notifying appropriate authorities, initiating required incident reports in the system of record, Defense Information Security System (DISS) and supporting follow-up actions such as investigations, corrective measures, and employee re-briefings to prevent recurrence.
- Oversee facility clearance documentation and compliance records. Review and update company information in the National Industrial Security System (NISS), ensuring accuracy of the Senior Management Officials (SMO), organizational data, and security documentation.
- Maintain accurate logs, files, and databases related to personnel and facility security.
- Assist with preparing for DCSA assessments and audits.
- Support the development and upkeep of security policies, standard operating procedures, and security plans.
- Deliver and/or coordinate security briefings, debriefings, and annual refresher training.
- Maintain all contract-related security documentation, including DD254s, ensuring they are current, properly uploaded in NISS, and aligned with contract requirements.
- Promote security awareness across the organization through reminders, materials, and communication.
- Support physical security measures such as badge management, access control lists, and visitor procedures.
- Coordinate with internal departments and senior FSOs to ensure compliance with security requirements.
- Assist in communication with DCSA or other government representatives as needed.
- Manage SCI nominations and access requests through government agency processes
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of industrial security experience, government contracting.
- Must have an active Secret clearance.
- Basic understanding of industrial security or willingness to complete required FSO training (e.g., DCSA FSO courses).
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with NISPOM requirements.
- Prior exposure to personnel security processes or clearance management systems, i.e. DISS, NBIS, NISS, etc.
