Zachary Piper Solutions is presently in search of a Cybersecurity Specialist responsible for ensuring that security is fully embedded throughout the migration lifecycle.

Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist

Location: St. Louis, MO

Overview:

This role defines security requirements, designs and builds security components, and leads security testing activities to ensure applications are securely migrated into cloud environments. Success in this position requires strong technical security expertise, hands-on implementation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within Agile teams to deliver secure, compliant, and resilient cloud solutions.

Responsibilities/Requirements:

• Gather, analyze, and define security requirements for applications undergoing migration.
• Contribute to the design of security architectures and patterns for migrated applications.
• Create security models, diagrams, and documentation illustrating controls, data flows, and threat considerations.
• Ensure all security designs align with cloud security best practices and organizational standards.
• Build, configure, and implement security components and controls within the target cloud environment.
• Apply security measures including access controls, encryption, key management, and secure communication protocols.
• Develop scripts and automation to support security operations and repeatable processes.
• Plan and execute security testing activities such as vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Conduct security configuration reviews of cloud services and environments.
• Implement and configure cloud-based security tools and technologies.
• Support compliance efforts by ensuring migrated applications meet regulatory and policy requirements.
• Perform security assessments aligned with relevant frameworks and standards.
• Document compliance evidence for audits and governance reviews.
• Implement and maintain security monitoring solutions, including logging, alerting, and dashboards.
• Develop and maintain mechanisms for capturing and analyzing security events.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Contribute to the creation and refinement of security-related user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Active Secret Clearance
• Willing to work onsite

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive Salary: Up to $240,000, contingent on experience.
