Support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) network by providing senior-level executive and document control support to program leadership and technical teams.

The Executive Administrator is responsible for managing documentation workflows, financial and milestone tracking, report processing, and executive-level brief preparation. This role ensures controlled formatting, document version integrity, and compliance with DoD standards while coordinating closely with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations personnel.

Responsibilities

Develops and implements policies governing the collection and maintenance of technical documentation and leads the coordination of the Tier 2 team.

Executive & Program Support:

  • Perform advanced word processing and controlled document formatting using approved templates.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets to support financial tracking, milestone schedules, and data analysis.
  • Conduct data collection and basic financial analysis to support program leadership.
  • Prepare executive briefs, reports, and presentation materials.
  • Manage milestone schedules and coordinate communications, including email distribution and tracking.
  • Process and finalize reports to ensure client-ready deliverables.

Document Control & Workflow Management:

  • Manage document control processes using SharePoint document libraries.
  • Maintain document versioning, approvals, and controlled templates.
  • Execute review and approval workflows in accordance with program procedures.
  • Draft, edit, and format technical documents using standardized Word templates.
  • Coordinate document reviews with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations SMEs; incorporate adjudicated changes.
  • Ensure documentation complies with DoD standards and contract requirements.

Tools & Systems:

  • Use SharePoint document control systems to manage planning, tracking, troubleshooting, documentation, and compliance activities.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) for reporting and documentation.
  • Support configuration and workflow tracking using IBM RTC and JIRA.
  • Maintain structured formatting and document consistency across program deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Active CompTIA Security+ CE.
  • Bachelor's level degree in any field.
  • 3 years' work-related experience in technical writing/editing.
  • Must have experience working with IBM RTC, JIRA, SharePoint, Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project).
  • Experience supporting DoD or federal programs in an executive or documentation support role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word (advanced formatting), Excel (spreadsheet development), and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using SharePoint document libraries and version control workflows.
  • Experience using JIRA and/or IBM RTC for tracking and workflow management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced government customer environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting RDT&E or Navy programs.
  • Experience supporting financial tracking or program milestone management.
  • Familiarity with controlled documentation environments.
