Fires System SME

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Fires System SME to join our team at Camp Pendleton, CA (Oceanside, CA) near San Diego CA. You will be providing technical expertise in fire support systems including AFATDS, JADOCS, and THSv2. The individual installs, configures, and operates fires systems to support test events and operational exercises, conducts over-the-shoulder training, and performs comprehensive test planning, execution, analysis, and reporting. This role requires deep knowledge of fires systems and the ability to establish functioning fire support cells.

Responsibilities:

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in operating, administering, training, or testing Fires systems such as Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS), or Target Handoff System version 2 (THSv2).
• Experience administering VMware ESXi, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Windows Server Operating Systems (desired).
• Experience in Microsoft Active Directory (desired).
• Working knowledge of network administration and troubleshooting of Cisco routing and switching (desired).
• Demonstrate advanced expertise in operating and integrating multiple fire support systems to support tactical operations. This role requires strong technical problem-solving skills, proficiency in system configuration and network integration, and the ability to conduct training and comprehensive test events in both shipboard and laboratory environments.
• Other duties as assigned to support team goals and maintain operational efficiency.

Certification Requirement:

• CompTIA Security+ certification, Desired.

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED.

Clearance Requirements:

• An active Top Secret (TS) security clearance is required to start in this position.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

Travel Requirements:

• Travel for this position is anticipated to be 30%-50% within the Continental United States and 10%-25% outside the Continental United States.

The pay range for this position in is $120,000/year to $140,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
